Full Day Fly Fishing Float Trips

Full days last approximately eight hours. We start in the morning with a three- to four-hour float on the river before breaking for lunch. Afterward, we relaunch and continue downstream, fishing along the way to the takeout.

Full Day: $450/1 angler; $500/2 anglers
Includes snacks, drinks and lunch. We offer the only hot lunch on the river.

Half Day Fly Fishing Float Trips

A typical half-day float trip lasts about four hours, either starting in the morning and ending in the early afternoon or beginning mid-day and finishing around dark.

Half Day: $350/1 angler; $400/2 anglers
Includes snacks and beverages


Night Fishing / Mouse Trips

Gunning for a monster Brown Trout after dark on a big mouse or streamer fly is not for the faint of heart! Inquire for more details.

Night Trips (roughly 4 hours): $400/1 angler; $500/2 anglers


Seasonal “Cast & Blast” Special

Experience the best of both worlds—woods and water! This full-day adventure combines a seasonal hunting opportunity with a half-day float fishing trip for the ultimate outdoor experience.

Hunt/Fish Combo Day: $750/person per day


Booking a Trip

Step 1

Pick a date and which trip you would like (Half Day, Full Day, Night Fishing (mouse trip) and request via our Contact form or call ‭(413) 834-7301‬.

Step 2

PTT will cross-reference the desired dates with our booking calendar and let you know if your desired trip is available

Step 3

A $200 deposit is required to reserve the date. Your deposit will be confirmed upon receipt. Send a check or money order to:

Cancellations and Rescheduling

If you cancel your trip for any reason, your deposit is forfeited. If you need to reschedule, your deposit will be honored until the end of the calendar year. If no date can be agreed upon before the end of the year, your deposit will be forfeited. If for any reason PTT cancels a trip, your deposit will be refunded or put towards another date.

We only accept cash or check. This helps to keep our rates the lowest on the river.

The Boat

Your float down one of New Englands finest trout tail waters will be a delight from the stability of a 14 ft. Aire fishing raft. Topped with a fully loaded Outcast fishing frame, which boasts such features as swivel seats, casting platforms, leaning stanchions in the front and back, as well as a Regal Engineering anchor system that will hold the boats position anywhere in the river.

The Gear

We provide you with all the gear for an enjoyable day of drift boat fishing, including:

  • Thomas and Thomas fly rods with Nautilus fly reels

  • Flies - A wide variety of custom flies from Fulling Mill as well as many "homegrown flies."

  • Camera

  • Life jackets

  • Breakfast and sandwich or optional barbecued lunch (BBQ is an extra $25) on Full Day trips

  • Breakfast or snacks on Half Day trips

  • Soft Drinks

  • Sunscreen and bug spray

What to Bring

To make your day even more enjoyable, please bring the following:

  • Current Massachusetts Fishing License. Click Here to get one online

  • Rain Gear

  • Polarized sunglasses

  • Hat with visor

  • Waders/Boots (depending on season). Please no metal studded wading boots in the boat

  • Your favorite flies (we have tons!)

  • If you would prefer your own rod and or reel feel free to bring it! 9 foot, 5 and 6 weight rods are recommended.

  • Camera (we have one too)

  • Any special needs or medications.

FAQs

Insurance: We carry liability insurance.

Deposit: $200 deposit due at time of booking.

Cancellation policy: Pheasant Tail Tours on rare occasions may cancel a trip due to inclement (dangerous) weather or river conditions. If a customer is unable to reschedule at a convenient time, a full deposit refund will be issued. In the event a customer cancels within seven days of our trip, the deposit will not be refunded unless we can book that day for another angler.
